Professor Eno Ibanga, a professor of Solid State Physics/Materials Science hails from Mkpat Enin Local Government Area.
He got his Ph.D in Solid State Physics in 2000 from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
The new Vice-Chancellor started his career as a university lecturer in University of Calabar in 1982.
He was appointed Professor of Physics in University of Uyo in 2008 and has been Head, Physics Department and Dean of Student Affairs in that University.
Professor Eno Ibanga is a renowned Physics lecturer who is sought after by many universities in Nigeria.
He was Associate Professor in Nassarawa State University, Keffi, in 2004; Senior Lecturer, University of Agriculture, Makurdi, 2002; lecturer, University of Agriculture Abeokuta, 1986.
Prior to his appointment as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibanga was a Visiting Lecturer to Akwa Ibom State University from 2009 - 2013, Visiting Lecturer, Benue State University, Makurdi, 2006-2011 and Visiting Lecturer, University of Agriculture, Makurdi, 2007-2010.
His experience as external examiner extends to University of Abuja; Ladoke Akintola University of Science and Technology, Ogbomosho; University of Ilorin and Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife.
He has held many administrative responsibilities and has been member of Senate, Boards and Committees in these Universities.
The new Vice-Chancellor has attended and presented papers in confrences within and outside Nigeria.
He is author of several books and owns chapters in major international journals. He has served NUC as member and also chairman of accreditation panels of degree programmes in physical sciences.
Professor Eno Ibanga is married with children.
