Dr. Uduak J. Utibe is an Associate Professor of Science Education in the Department of Science Education, Akwa Ibom State University. He holds a PhD degree in Physics education from University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. His research interests include: Science, technology and mathematics curriculum from primary to tertiary education levels, Creation of entrepreneurial skills in STM education, Performances of students in STM at all levels of education, Maintenance culture and general issues in Nigeria education. He teaches physics, integrated science courses, research and measurements and evaluation courses at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. He is also a supervisor of under graduate and post graduate students. He has worked in different curriculum development programmes in Nigeria, entrepreneurial skills development and instructional materials development for all levels of education in Nigeria. Presently he developed instruments for WAEC in electrical installation and maintenance workshop, moderate examination papers, scripts and serve as one of the International moderator of the Final marking guide and as Chief examiner in the same subject. He has published over 44 papers in local and international journals. His PhD thesis was on guided-discovery, demonstration methods and senior secondary physics students’ acquisitions of entrepreneurial skills in household electrification in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

Areas of Interest
Main research interests include STM curriculum development, general maintenance of Science equipment and structures and entrepreneurial skills development in STM across subjects and cultures.
