Profile


Mr. Kokoette Sunday Effiong is presently undertaking his Ph.D. studies in Ocean Engineering and Technology, with a specialty in Maine Biology and Environmental Engineering. He is also a lecturer in the Department of Marine Biology at Akwa Ibom State University, Nigeria. He is a joint coordinator in a project, ?The Major Science and Technology Program for Water Pollution Control and Treatment-Water quality-target management system based on regional aquatic ecosystem functions, sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology since 2018. He obtained his M.Sc. degree in Marine Biology in 2014 at the University of Lagos, he also obtained his B.SC, degree in Marine Biology in 2009 at the University of Calabar, both Nigeria. He is an awardee of the Chinese Government Scholarship (Marine Scholarship). He won the outstanding international student of the year award at Zhejiang university for the 2019/2020 session.
He has over 16 scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals in Marine Biology and Environmental Sciences. He has also published one patent and a mini-book. He had attended and presented papers in several international and local conferences.?
