Profile


Professor Oboho studied Chemical Engineering at the Moscow Institute of Petrochemical and Gas Industry, Moscow, where he obtained a M.Sc. degree (with distinction) in 1976 and PhD in 1979. He is a registered Professional Engineer with COREN, Member of Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE), Fellow of Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (FNSChE) and Member of American Institute of Chemical Engineers (MAIChE) Prof. Oboho has served in the various capacity in the University, he was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot Akpaden, from April 2015 to 1st August 2019; Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot Akpaden, from 2010 to 2015; Ag. Head, Department of Chemical/Petrochemical and Petroleum Engineering, R/S UST, Port Harcourt from August July 2005 to August 2006; Ag. Head, Department of Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering R/S UST Port Harcourt from August 1987 to October 1989 and currently the Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot Akpaden.

Modeling and simulation of reactors for Chemical Engineering Processes, Catalytic cracking, Catalytic reforming, Oxidation of SO2 to SO3, Biodegradation and disposal of petroleum hydrocarbons and used lubricating oils, Coking of petroleum residues from Nigeria crude oil.
