PROFILE OF PROFESSOR MRS. ENO JOSEPH OTTONG, UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN, AKWA IBOM STATE UNIVERSITY.

PROFESSOR MRS. ENO JOSEPH OTTONG (University Librarian)

 

Professor (Mrs.) Eno Joseph Ottong started her academic career in the field of Library and Information Science.  She has been head of almost all the divisions of a University Library and has also been involved in teaching and training of professional Librarians. Her experience in this field spans through twenty nine (29) years. She is an author of publications, External Examiner to Library Schools and Consultant to Corporate Libraries in Nigeria.

 

She comes from Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. Professor (Mrs.) Ottong obtained a Diploma in Library and Information Science, a Bachelors Degree in Library Science both from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Masters Degree in Library Studies and Ph.D. in Library, Archival & Information Studies from University of Ibadan, Ibadan.

 

Professor Eno Ottong possesses good leadership skills, a service innovation expert and a manager of human and material resources. She is a member of some professional bodies such as: Nigerian Library Association (NLA), Librarian Council of Nigeria (LRCN), and the Reading Association of Nigeria (RAN).
