About the director

Dr. Christabel Divine Brownson (AHEA):  was born in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State in early 80s. She obtained her first degree in Banking and Finance from University of Uyo, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria in 2004. She earned a scholarship from the Akwa Ibom State Government for her outstanding performance of which she proceeded to do and obtained her MSc in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in 2007 and her PhD in Entrepreneurship in 2012 both at the University of Essex, Essex, England. While pursuing her PhD, she underwent training for the Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Practice (PG CHEP) and obtained the required credit to become an Associate of the Higher Education Academy (AHEA) in Britain in 2012. Dr. Brownson is a knowledge facilitator and specializes in motivating the entrepreneurial individuals to proactive value venture creation. Her activities in SIFE (Student in Free Enterprise) now ENACTUS (Entrepreneurship Action by University Students) which involve the planning, organizing and execution of various student led and community based entrepreneurial projects earned her Two SIFE Medals for being a project organizer, presenter and National Champion for two years (2001 & 2003). She was one of the Key presenters for Uniuyo SIFE Team that took 3rd position in the SIFE World CUP of 2003 in Mainz, Germany. She earned a Service Leadership Award from SIFE USA in 2003 and was recognized by the Akwa Ibom State Government for Excellence by the then Governor of the State Arch. Obong Victor Attah in 2004. In 2008, her team won the 1st and 2nd cash prize for Business plan competition organized by Enterprising Futures, University of Essex. Her research interest covers Entrepreneurial Culture, Value Venture Creation, Entrepreneurship Education, Entrepreneurship and Regional Development, Nigerian Entrepreneurship and Policy Effectiveness. She has some publications to her credit in international journals.
